Open the DMSS App: Launch the app on your mobile device.
Access Camera List: Navigate to the main dashboard or home screen. There should be an option or tab that lists all your connected devices or cameras.
Select the Camera: Find and select the camera you want to rename. Typically, there might be a settings icon (often represented by a gear/cogwheel symbol) next to each camera name or when you tap into the camera’s live feed.
Find Rename Option: Once in the camera’s settings, look for an option that says “Rename”, “Edit Name”, or something similar.
Rename the Camera: Tap on the rename option and enter the new name for your camera.
Save Changes: After renaming, ensure to save your changes. There might be a “Save” or “Confirm” button to finalize the renaming.
Return & Check: Go back to your camera list or dashboard to ensure the camera’s name has been updated.
Repeat for Other Cameras: If you have multiple cameras to rename, repeat the steps for each one.
Make sure you name your cameras in a way that easily identifies their location or purpose (e.g., “Front Door”, “Living Room”, “Warehouse Entrance”).
Some apps might require you to be connected to the same local network as the cameras for certain administrative tasks, including renaming. Ensure your mobile device is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network if you face any issues.
